Holiday Kal-Cal

http://www.holidaykalcal.blogspot.com

Our Summer Kal-Cal was a huge success; as some of you know because you
participated in it! Well, Sharon and I were so happy with how the Summer Kal-Cal turned out
that we decided to host another one!!!

This one is focusing on Holiday Knitting and Crochet. Not tree skirts
and stockings but gifts. You all know you are making them so why not
join in on the fun and possibly win a prize?

Prize, did I say prize? YEP, I sure did. You can make anything you
like and enter as many things you make in the time frame of the
Kal-Cal (Sept. 22 2007 to Dec. 31, 2007) to the GRAND PRIZE vote and
the subsequent random prize drawing.

For all you entrepreneurs out there, we are currently accepting
contributions from anybody who has an Etsy shop or fiber related
stores/sites. In exchange for your kind contribution Sharon and I
promise to PRAISE you and your store in at least one podcast episode.

She and I both get roughly 2000 downloads an episode in the first week
it is released. Not to mention, each episode is archived so the
potential for our little "advertisement" about your store could be
heard by millions. (NOTE: I am not promising millions...only potential)

If you are interested in either being a contributor, participant or
both please feel free to contact me and I will get you hooked up :-)

Ho,Ho,Ho...Happy Hookin' (that makes me laugh)

Marly -

Your podcast can put me in a good mood even when I'm at my worst! Thank you! I am a knitter, crocheter and spinner. An idea for a crochet class would be the Spider Web Cardigan in Interweave Crochet (Spring 2007) by Marty Miller. I have never crocheted a garmet before either, but did I love this one! I crocheted it in white cotton, denim cotton, Koigu, etc. It's an easy six row repeat, easily adjustable for size and I change up the sweater by knitting or crocheting different trims on it. It took me a few times to get the Foundation cast on, and it gives you a nice clean edge, but after that you're good to go. Keep up the podcasting - you make my ride to work something to look forward to. Margaret (knittinghands @comcast.net)
