Change of Perspective
On my way to pick my daughter up from school I glanced to the side of I-70 and saw this flag. It made me whip out my camera and shoot a picture right away. Then, I began to think. I can't even count how many times I have passed this very flag in the past week, let alone since I have lived in Colorado. But there was something about it TODAY that made me really take notice.
Maybe it was the majestic mountains in the background dusted with snow, maybe it was the way the sun seemed to shimmer on the stripes of the flag, maybe it was just because I needed a reminder of how great our country is. Even with all the faults of our "leaders or politicians" we are a nation that offers so many possibilities and hope for the future!
Look at me, I am just a Christian, a wife, a mom, a former D-1 college athlete, a "big" girl, a knitter, and a crocheter... who decided one day to start a blog and later a podcast. In only a few short months I now have a steady following for both. The most impressive is the over 3000 downloads for my podcast! Why would anybody want to listen to me? Who am I? But that's just it...you don't have to be anybody...in America, you just have to have a dream and work towards making it a reality.
Okay, it is that 'time of the month' around here and I have been a little moody (to say the least). So, I am going to attribute this sentimental moment to the fact that my hormones are a little WACKY at the moment! Well, that and the fact that I am astonished of all the wonderful feedback I have had regarding my Yarn Thing Podcast! I can't believe it!

There is something about the position of the flag and the color of the sky that is really striking. Great photo!
