Teacher...Teacher...TEACHER!
So, guess who is the new Knitting Instructor at Joanne Fabrics in Westminster, Colorado?
That's right, me! I had an interview today with the Creative University director and she said I was a perfect fit. Really, how could I NOT be :-)
Now, I have to submit my schedule by Wednesday. That is where you all come in...if you were to take a class on knitting (basic stuff) or sign up your kid for a class; what times and days do you think are best? I just don't know...leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Congratulations!
Awesome--you are going to be great, I just know it! As for times, around here all the career women I know usually fit classes in during the evenings after work. Weekends might work for kids wanting to take classes, but most working moms I know are fierce about having their weekends off with their children, so evening classes during the week might be preferable for them.
Congratulations!!
Here is my process of elimination:
Mondays and Fridays are just bad (beginning of a "work week" and people get forgetful)
Wednesdays are bad b/c it is typically considered "church night" (Bible study) and besides it is the middle of the week(a.k.a. hump day).
So that leaves you Tuesday or Thursday! :oD
And I would throw a Saturday in there since some people just can't make it out during the week!
Besides it is summer time! So this schedule may change once the off season is over with! :Op
Hope that helped a little bit and not complicate it more for you!
that is just SO aweswome. look at your taking the knitting world by storm! i don't know about the schedule, just do what's best for you and people will find you. i like to think working moms would come to want to knit, but all my working mom friends are SO busy with family life after work/weekends, the last thing they want to do is knit you know? good luck!
Congrats! I know I like morning classes for the kids (during the summer anyway) and evening for adults. Kids are better in the morning in general (better learners, better behaved etc) and I know for me it's easier to go to a class at night so DH can watch the kids.
Congratulations! That's wonderful news. You'll be an awesome teacher.
Congratulatons on being the new Knitting Instructor! How exciting :)
Congrats!

XOX
Congratulations!!!
As someone who has to be in the office weekdays, I vote for Saturday morning. That said, during the summer, you may be able to get kids during the day. I agree with the person who said not Mon and not Fri.
Congratulations! You'll be a great teacher.
Oh, Marly, congratulations! That's awesome! I bet you'll be a fantastic teacher. If I lived closer, I'd come!
Woohoo!!!! Congratulations!
Evenings and weekends are best for us!
Congrats!!! Most classes around me are always during the day and I can't go because of college. I would love some classes offered on the weekend or early evening or even late afternoon.
Ooh congrats Marly!!! I went to a workshop in Westminster for 3 weeks one year! I love that town :)
I would say, for kids, Saturday morning, for adults evenings. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!
That's so FANTASTIC!!!! Congratulations! I think you should teach them how to make little bags, because I think kids like bags just as much as grown-ups.
