Car Accident!

Thursday March 13th I was driving home from my grandma's house after droping her laundry off (yes, I do my grandma's laundry). I live off of 64th and at 38th a man turned right on red and practically t-boned me because he came over into my lane (I was in the left lane).

I drive a suburban and THANK GOD I do because if I had been in a little car it is very possible my son would have had his head ran over. The entire passanger side of my car is bashed in from front fender to back fender. Still not sure if it is totaled.

Dealing with the insurance company and I am already sick of it. I have pictures and will try to post them soon.

Just know that we are all okay (it was me and my three kids in the car with me).

Glad to hear you're OK. That's the most important thing.

And insurance sucks. No way around it. But fight them to get what you want/need. I did for a fender bender and they finally fixed the car instead of totaling it.

Oh my goodness Marly! That is so scary. If any of your kiddos are in carseats, make sure you tell the insurance people that too. They should replace them.
Glad you are all ok. Thank heavens for big cars, eh?

My what bad news, but glad everyone is ok. I know how you feel I was in one back in Nov. It took them just one day short of 4 weeks to fix my car, I had a rental and everything was paid thats the only good part of the whole thing. My neck is still sore from it. I hit the other guy who turned in front of me he was in the wrong. Just me and hubby in the car the kids were in school. Good luck with your insurance.

That exact same thing happened to a friend of mine, except she was knocked unconscious and when she woke up the car was on fire (she's okay though). I'm glad you and your family made it out okay--sounds like someone was watching over you. What kind of car was the other guy driving?

YIKES!!! I drive a suburban too, and am so thankful for that tank. I have never been in a car accident at all so the whole idea just totally freaks me out!

Good luck with insurance...that can be a headache.

Loved your giggly podcast this week. I had to go get the Knit Simple magazine yesterday after listening to it!mww

Good luck with everything. I love that you do your grandma's laundry. That is so sweet.

How frightening to go through that experience, but reassuring to know that you were all protected. I hope the next steps go well for you and aren't too stressful.

What did the kids thinks? Make sure to get them out and about in cars and trucks a lot now so they don't develop a fear. I have only had 2 very minor accidents in my life but after both I was a little timid behind the wheel. Getting back on the horse quickly is the best thing.

I'm sooooooo glad you are all alright. If you only have insurance hassles after all that, count your blessings (I know you do)

Well. . . a car can be easily replaced or fixed, thank God you and the little ones are unharmed. My mother is an Insurance Agent so I understand the sometimes annoying process of trying to get something like this taken care of. Hopefully it will all end well and soon. Remember that God's plan is the master plan and with His guidance you can make lemonade out of any lemons. You're in my prayers. Keep us posted.

OH Marly! I'm SO glad you're all safe!

What a jerk! Of course he says it's your fault - you're just a girl (or so he's thinking). Kick his ass!

Good luck - sending ass-kickin' vibes to help out....
